Journal Entry-
June 7, 2004
“Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts and see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way of everlasting.”
LORD, You had Jeremiah go and say to the king of Judah,
-Execute justice and righteousness
-Deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor
-Do no wrong
-Do no violence to sojourners, fatherless, or widow
-Shed no innocent blood
Help me to execute justice, first in my own house, with my children and my wife. Also, today, help me to DO NO WRONG- to walk in the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, to be free from the law of sin and death.
As I sit here on the back porch, hearing the rain fall on the tin roof and watching it fall on the pound, I praise and thank You for Your exceeding great and precious promise,
“As the rain cometh down…and watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud…so shall my WORD be…it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it.”
Thank You, LORD, and please help me to MORE CLEARLY, more DILIGENTLY, and MORE CONSISTENTLY sow it in the hearts and mind of others, beginning with my own children.
“Show Thy marvelous loving-kindness, O Thou WHO SAVEST BY THY RIGHT HAND Those who put their trust in Thee…” Save me, today, Oh God, according to Your name revealed here.
“As for me, I will behold Thy face…I shall be satisfied when I awake with Thy likeness.” (Ps 17:15) Show me Thy ways, teach me Thy path- today!
