Show me now Thy ways, Oh LORD! I need You, I need to behold Your glory! Help me to seek Your face!
Example to Follow:
1 Sam. 1:15- Hannah, “poured out her soul before the LORD…”
2:33- a curse on a man, Eli, is that the men in his lineage would die,
“in the flower of their age…”
3:21- “the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel…by the WORD of the LORD.”
As You revealed Yourself to Samuel, I seek that You do the same to me- by Thy WORD reveal Yourself to me!
Sin to Avoid:
1Sam. 4:3- “Let us bring the ark of the covenant…to us…that IT may save us…”
Oh God, help us that we do not do this! Yes, we are doing many “natural things” in order to treat my cancer that resembles a lump of figs, but, we are not looking to anything that we are doing, or trusting it to save us. Our eyes are upon Thee, our ONLY deliverer! Deliver us from looking to anything, any “IT’s” that turn our eyes from You.
7:12- “Then Samuel took A STONE and called it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us!”
Please deliver me, Oh LORD, “to the end that my glory may SING PRAISE to Thee, and not be silent. O LORD, my God, I will give thanks unto Thee forever,” (Ps. 30:12) that I too may set up an Ebenezer stone.
