Help me, oh LORD, to seek Your face and behold Your glory! You said,
“My food is to DO the will of Him that sent Me and to FINISH His WORK.” (Jn 4:34)
What work? Immediately following You mentioned- harvest, fields, reapers, sowers, labor, etc.
So what is the WORK? “So is the KINGDOM of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground…when the fruit is brought forth…putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.”
The WORK- “the sower soweth the WORD.” (Mrk 4:14)
The WORK- “Go,…teaching…teaching them to observe…” (Matt 28:19)
The WORK- “teaching every man and warning…labor, striving…” (Col 1:28-29)
The WORK- “…harvest truly is plentiful…laborers are few…” (Matt 9:37)
The WORK- “…cast seed into the ground…” (Matt 4:26)
The WORK- “…putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come…” (Mrk 4:29)
The WORK- “…he that planteth and he that watereth…” (1 Cor 3:8)
